The project was funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Jinja Municipal Council in support of Project Support Team of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development It involved dueling of the Yellow Knife Road in addition to the installation of street lights. Drainage improvement was also part of the key activities characterized by numerous box culverts in addition to installation of manholes, access culverts and landscaping design.
